Anyone who wants there turbo (T3/T4) to spool up faster and cooler at 2500 rpm or less you need to install a heat sheild and change the Turbine housing to .48 trim. The company that can do it is Turbo Tech. Call them at (253)475-8319 ask for Jim or visit them at www.turbotechnologyinc.com, ask this parts Turbine housing #20357-2 ($200), it bolts right in without replacing the wheel. And also a T3 heatsheild($60) it goes around the turbine housing, with this on (heatsheild) there is virtually no heat escaping the turbo. Don't Forget to mention my name, Jun...

with a .48 AR your top end will suffer, however. Maybe not enough for a stock motored 2GNT to realize, but that fact remains. Would you want to have to switch back to a .63 after you build your motor and want to be able to run 18psi all the way to the end of third gear?

I just did my dyno test with that turbine (.48) and at 10 psi, the full boost is at 6k, 213.5hp. This is for the people who doesn't wanna do anything on their internal and wanna spool up quicker with their star kit.

if you're getting 10psi by 6k, you might want to check for boost leaks. I'm running 15psi, and i get full boost by like 5000RPM.

I think I have a boost leak Dino. Driving home from the gym yesterday, I could only boost 10 psi. I have changed nothing, so the only thing that I could think of was a boost leak. I checked for exhaust leaks this morning when it was cold, and found nothing. Then getting on the highway I gunned it, the pressure went up to 13 then came back down to around 10 or 11. Does that sound like a boost leak to you?

JUNJUN, hey i just noticed that that companies number is a 253 area code, i am guessing they are in the Tacoma area somewhere. Do you know if they carry or intall turbo's for N/T eclipses?? if so please let me know since it seems you've dealed with them before. I live in N. Seattle and have found people who are willing to do it but Tacoma or south end seems a lot more convient.

Hey, if you want someone to install your turbo kit you might want to check out Pure Performance Imports in Burien, their number is 206-277-8676, their at 15020 Ambaum Blvd. S.W. They've done work on my car and my friends TSi, very good quality. I dunno what they'd charge for this but they would do it right - good experiences with them, very friendly staff.

I am not sure what is going on, but I get full boost really quickly. I get just a hair under 5 psi. It starts spooling at 2200 and builds full boost by 27-2800. I do have the larger housing that came w/ the kit. I checked this like 3 times and it starts spooling at the same time every time. Hmmm, I am not sure why, but I am also sure as hell not going to complain. Oh yeah, look at my mods to see what I have. All I can figure is efficient routing of ic piping as well as aa very efficieent ic. This all happened BEFORE I got my new exhaust, too. I used to have a universal muffler on stock piping. Justin
