Parts are in the mail so it should show up sometime in the week. All the E-Manages are the same so no special wiring harness based on model. I will definitely make sure more info gets out and hopefully some real numbers as it comes.

Hey Murix,
I was thinking about doing this too, the unit is relatively cheap, and it appears that it is a mo betta SAFC. lemme know what you think i would like to go the same route.
Thanks
James

The cost is actually not that much better, but the unit itself is definitely better than the S-AFC. I bought every option available which ran the total cost to $600. That includes its own pressure sensor and timing control on top of standard fuel. This means using a proper 3-bar map sensor I will be able to control both my fuel and timing curve simutaneously on a 16x16 table. The injectors can probably be had cheaper, but I bought 4 50lb/hr (525cc) injectors for $300 new. I wish I knew Greg wanted to sell his as I would have tried to buy those instead. Oh well.

The injectors and e-Manage are already with the car waiting to be installed. It will end up being a few weeks due to other things in the way.

are there any cool graphs? hehe
i was looking at their site and other information on the E-manage it appears to just piggyback and intercept the map signal like the afc, but how does it modify timing?
thanks
james

The E-Manage actually uses 16x16 tables on a laptop for tuning. You can sort out both the timing and fuel maps using boost vs rpm tables vs the more one dimiensional tuning of a S-AFC. It allows a range of 150% variation and two additional injectors if so needed. It also has the ability to sort out idle, anti-stall, and autmoatically adjust itself when you resize your injectors (this will only effect out of boost fuel maps as you will create entire new maps when you get into boost). It should also eliminate the need for a voltage clamp as it can set the voltage on a rpm basis.

You can check out the manuals at http://mkiv.com/tmp/emanage/ which I also highly recommend if you plan on purchasing one. I am very satisfied with the service and promptness I received on top of the fact I think you can not get it any cheaper. Do realize it is one guy doing this though so it is very possible he might have a backlog. Even so I think it is still worth it.

Do you have to buy new injectors? Or would say my Accel 625cc work?

I am very interested to see how this works out for you, defiantly post your opinions and discoveries when you get it all hooked up and running.

The E-Manage can not control anything larger than 150% above stock which is a 580cc injector. That would be more than enough fuel for a S16G running 18psi. If you require additional fuel, it will allow the plumbing of two additional injectors with their own fuel maps. It still does have its limitations in relation to a true stand alone, but it will suffice for what I want to do. It should pretty much handle anything I will ever push with the S16G and I can use a wet shot of nitrous to make up the difference.

wow look, im searching! How will this do with my Zex 75 shot nitrous set up? ive been hearing different things about timing and whether retarding it is needed or not. which do you think would be better for me, and for future larger shots, a S-AFC, or the Greddy E-Manage?

PS mods below, except its a 75 shot not a 65 shot

thanks for the help

WOW you searched and brought up 20 year old posts...

You dont need to do a damn thing with your 75 shot. If you go higher you will fry some valves.

holy shit collente, double wow.

Having Problems? Heres my Three step solution to anything 2gnt related.
Step 1: Put down everything in your hands.
Step 2: Grab a lucky strike, Smoke it.
Step 3: Walk to the fridge, double fist some keystone ice, sit down in the shade, drink one beer, finish cigarette, drink other beer, roll a joint, smoke it, walk back to your problem, and in about 5 minutes the solution will come to you.
If not. Go here: here

If still nothing, your trying to hard. Start over at step 1.

I really hope your being sarcastic....but.

WHATS WITH ALL THE FUCKING SMART ASS NOOOBS. damnit.

advance your timing 30 degrees for me will you.

There is word that our stock blocks can't take much more than a 75 shot for very long because the heat from the added 02 combustion will melt things. not preasure..... emoji emoji emoji

first off im not so much a noob, i just dont come on here as much. second, everytime i ask a question i get a smart ass answer, when im just looking for some help. im not asking about the timing shit and bigger shot for now, im asking so i can buy the right thing now and still use it down the road when i rebuild my engine from bottom to top. so im trying to find out if timing retardation is needed or not, cuz if it is then ill get the emanage so i can use it later, and if its not i will just buy an afc. im just preparing so i dont have to buy things twice.

thanks

oh yea, i didnt say anything about pressure, i said from the heat of a liquid turning into a gas, and yes that was sarcasm, thus the rolling eyes.
