seriously, i'd never imagine 2 years ago that today i'd be disassembling a cartech FPR. for the 2nd time. when i took it apart this time the piston wasn't moving at all, some of the grease had escaped the piston area and was causing the entire thing to stick shut, ie effectively closing the return line port and creating a TON of pressure. i got rid of all the grease and reinstalled it. remember last time whenever i would pull the vac hose off to simulate 0psi the gauge would spike past 100psi and peg? well i forgot to put the vac hose on and when my brother turned on the car for the first time i got 45psi! it should be ok now to drive around and at least tide me over to when i can install corbin's setup in a month or so.

one thing i've learned, the faster you go the more problems you will have. in the famous words of a local dsmer when asked why his eclipse isn't broken, "my sht isn't fast enough to break" ...i can only imagine what you stage5 people go through.

You know how much time, patience, and frustration that cartach FPR has caused me? Way toooooo much. Its pretty bad that HRC cant even supply a decent regulator to supply the fuel, which is EVERYTHING for a turbosystem. Hopefully i will get my SFMU in next week, so i will really feel the proper power of my turbo, instead of running too rich. A big _|_ to the damn cartach!! Dont worry bro, i've taken my FPR apart twice now too..in about the time of a few weeks apart emoji
