sup? i finially finished installing my star stage 1 kit. i took it for a drive around the block, and i am hearing some strange ass noises. now i have never driven in a turbocharged car, so i dont know what i am supposed to hear....it sounds like there is an exhasut leak coming from the wastegate...but maybe it is just the dump tube on the WG? is it supposed to make a sputtering noise at idle and at any level of throttle, but no noise when just releasing off the gas for a moment? i read an early post about the wastegate rattling because of it not being welded to the manifold....could this be the cause? how is my car supposed to sound? tia.

I have a star stage II. I have not welded the dump pipe yet. The noises that I hear comes from the turbo spooling up and when I release the throttle (blow-off valve). I have an MBC and it is set to 7psi, I hear a different noise once I reach that pressure. When I first bought my kit, after installing it I have an exhaust leak cause the manifold wasn't sealing. I called the company where I bought mine (importparts.com) and told them that my manifold is not sealing right. I have to removed it and send it back to them to get a replacement. Make sure to put your own marking on the bad one when you send it to them cuz' they might scam you and send you the same thing. OK...
