#25683, "Pricing on HRC stage one"

I was quoted 20 hours of labor by a shop for an HRC stage one install. does this sound right, or a little high?

Thanks,
Phil

I recommend from other peoples experience to just get a manual, and pick a weekend to do it yourself with some buddies

I'd recommend doing it yourself too, but HRC says it should take an experienced mechanic 8 hours to do a stage II. So to answer your question, yeah 20 hours is too long. That's probably how long it will take you.

20 HRS for a stage 1??? DAMNNN!!! ME and 2 others did my install in about 7 or 8 hours, with breaks and lunch emoji Even with one person, it still shouldn't take that long. Find a few people who have done the install, have em help, and you will get it done in no time..assuming you dont run into any big problems..i didn't anyway..

Is anyone in MD/Northern VA who's done this willing to sacrifice a weekend to help me out?

It would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks all.

Phil

PS, I'm writing an E-mail to HRC tomorrow because they say on their site that they only use the best vendors, and these guys obviously aren't
