#25668, "ALMOST ABLE TO GET A TURBO!"

I almost have my dad talked into letting me turbo the car...all I basically have to do is get a job to prove to him how dedicated I am to my car. (I've never really done work before so this is a big show of dedication). If I get a job it's basically set that I could do ANYTHING to my car.

well.....Since the search option doesn't work for my gay computer I'm planning on going HRC Stage 2.

Besides what all comes with the kit, what should I order?
Boost Controller
EGT Gauge
A/F Guage
Boost Gauge
anything else?

boost gauge comes with the kit. you dont need a boost controller. would be a good idea to get a new exhaust manifold and oil pan gasket. i used a 3/4 inch hole saw to drill into the oil pan. new oil and filter. cant think of anything else right now

The Hahn kit comes with a stock 3000GT BOV. It works, but most people end up swapping them out for aftermarket ones.

Speaking of BOV's, do any of you guys get compressor surge from your BOV?? I originally had a stock 2g BOV on my car, and it worked fine. Then I got a Blitz Supersound and I get compressor surge even though I have the spring set as loose as possible. I think I'm gonna take it apart and cut the spring down.

Anyone else having similar problems?

You will need:
EGT gauge
Air/fuel gauge
New oil and filter
one range colder spark plugs
Exaust mani and oil pan gaskets just in case
maybe extra wiring and wire loom
lots of tools if doing yourself

The Hahn kit pretty much comes with everything you need. Personally, i love the sound from my 3000GT BOV. Its pretty loud and makes a nice wooshing noise between gears. The Hahn FPR should work for you, but others, like me, have had nothing but problems with it. Just be sure to have some extra cash at the time of the install for things you might need that you would have never thought of.
