i think my vc-1 is finally starting to crap out on me. i want to replace it with a missing link module, but the only places i can find have them for just Hondas. i know they work on our cars, cause Mitseclps has one, but which one is it? this intermittent boost cutting sucks. thanks for any help.

I love mine, and yes, Group5 was pretty terrific at both keeping me updated on shipment issues and sending it out farily promptly.
To me at least, this alternative is the very best at "fooling" you MAP sensor in regards to boost. It's also a nicely machined piece and looks slick at its mounting point. They definitely did their homework with this one and, for once, is a product that didn't cut any corners.

Just by virtue that I KNOW the Missing link won't change voltages everytime I start the car up, it's better. However, if both devices are doing their job correctly, it would be hard to characterize as one doing better than the other. Unfortunately, being someone who's saw the bad and ugly in regards to the HRC Fuel Mapper, I have to lean to the Missing Link as a much more reliable device, for what it's supposed to do.
And as many have said here before, it's just a check valve. It just happens to be the creme de la creme of all check valves for the 420a. You don't need multiple CV's, nor do you have a messy alignment of vacuum lines and CV's, it's simply plug it in and go.
