Ok I bought your boost sensor for the SAFC and it works great. the only thing that I have noticed just recently is that It will jump around from time to time. Like I will go into boost and the percentages will be sortof normal but they will jump all over the place. Like even to 90 some percent. Just going every which way. Could this be due to a bad map sensor or is there another problem. This only happens half the time. When the problem doesnt show up the car seems to run normal. But when the problem is there is when I notice that I cant get rid of detonation no matter what I do. So I just leave it alone. Then come back later drive my car, no detox. Check the percentages and they are steady. I just cant figure it out. Even when I am detonating the car is halfway on the rich side. showing the same readings as when the car runs fine. Thanks in advance for any info. Sorry to ask so many questions. This is kind of a extention of my last post.

everything checks out ok. I know that I am detonating cause I can hear the pinging. Also I am running rich on the a/f gauge when this happens. but it doesnt happen all the time.

That has to be a wiring problem. Check to make sure all the wiring is very secure. Solder it if possible. You have the boost sensor wired to the stock MAP power and ground right? I know someone forgot to do that once. Is the sensor in a cool place that doesn't vibrate? The S-AFC mod is just a motorola boost sensor in a box. It should be very sturdy and reliable. It is designed for use in an engine control system. I ran that setup for 9 months and never had a problem. I wish I could give you a good answer. I never seem to have the problems that others have. If you need to get a hold of me, e-mail is the best way. I am out of town again and can't always check the message board (I always check e-mail).
