The car started up today First time in 9 months. Everything was great....except for a few things.

1.I was running NO exhaust...just HRC downpipe
2.Since no exhaust-no 02 sensor=rich
3.I have a small exhaust leak coming from my EGR block off plate on the head.

When I first took the car out for a spin, and was adjusting boosted fuel pressure, I blew an IC pipe off! That was only under 7psi of boost. It was the one that connects to the rubber elbow on the turbo. And since my car is lowered, and those pipes hang fairly low to the ground, the IC pipe hit the pavement going about 45mph and dented the end of it, right where the pipe was beaded. I tried pounding it back out to a good circle, but it's still a little screwed up. I'm gonna call HRC monday to see if they will replace mine, since I know that one won't hold under boost with it being bent at the end. The car isn't liking boost right now, I think I may have a boost leak at that connection. It spools up to about 2psi or so and won't go much higher. How do I check for boost leaks in my piping again?...I forgot.
Before that pipe blew off, I was getting above 2psi nice and smooth, now it sort of hesitates around 2psi. Oh well, I 'm just glad she's runnin' again. Just got to get the bugs worked out of her then finish breakin' her in. Then I'll take it to the track and run 10psi on 94octane and see what I can get out of it for times with the stage 2 set-up. Then I'll put the injectors, AFC, and ignition in and re-tune it. I'm gonna shoot for 16psi daily on 94 octane, and 18psi at the track with a 50/50 mix of 94 and 100 octane. I'm sure you guys will be hearin' alot from me in the next week..just wanted to give you the heads up. Oh ya, the car wasn't AS loud as I thought it was gonna be with NO exhaust, but she sure the hell isn't quiet by any means

have you broken the engine in yet? if you haven't then i don't think you should be boostin.

I only went into boost twice-each time for about 3sec and never went above 4K rpms. I just wanted to get my fuel pressure straightened out....thanks for lookin' out though.....

THANK GOD!! IT LIVES!! I spent more time working on your car than all the ones I've ever owned combined I think!! EGR leak is gone..exhaust gets done this morning..almost there!!
