Now this is a purely hypothetical question. Lets say that i had a fully built motor, i mean forged pistons, titanium connection rods, o-ringed head gasket and the works. Say i wanted to run some obscene level of boost, like 40 psi. let's just assume for the moment that the motor could handle it. All the boost gauges i've seen only go up to 30 psi. What if i wanted to go higher than that? also, which turbo (t76 or something else) would be best for this ultra high horsepower use? Lag is not an issue. It'd be more for top end bonneville style racing. Just daydreaming....

Well, besides the fact you'd likely have to run nitromethane, you could probably get away with a T66 in some trim or another..

Your just not looking hard enough for those gauges, they go higher. The boost gauge in my turbo car goes up to 35 psi. Autometer makes a blower gauge that reads to something like 50 psi I beleive. Blower pressure and boost pressure are inter changable when it comes to a gauge. They both work on the same idea, they measure pressure.

You're right. I just searched autometers site, found part number 4305 60psi boost gauge. $46.95. As far as the nitromethane goes, there is a site www.pricechemical.com that sells nitro based fuel additives that i could blend with my fuel. This is all just daydreaming though
