I bought a used EGT gauge and probe. I need to know how to install the probe, I know you drill a hole in the manifold, but is there any welding to keep the probe in there. It came with a nut around it.,

i beleave most of us used a tread tapper to tap the hole so you could just screw it in....
you will want to take off your maniford to do it, or at least i did..

you could also tapp into ur down pipe but its like 200 degrees cooler (i beleave) then your manny...
or weld a bung in its up to you,

Yeah, there should have been a male to male connector. One end goes into the manifold and the other to the nut on the probe.

You can dril and tap the manifold with it still on, just drill it with the car running.

well mine came with just the female nut on the probe, like it screws onto something or something screws into it......

Would it be too hot for JB weld in there?

What kind of guage is it? You might try calling the manufactor and tell them you need another connector. When I installed mine, it broke in half, so I called Autometer and they're sending me a whole new probe kit. Or you could just go get it welded on.
