Just be prepared. I was fully prepared for my install, and it went perfectly. Be sure to have all the tools, special tools, wire, jacks, wd-40, solder/iron, ect...Be sure to read over the install manual many times to familirize yourself with the install. Take your car before its torn down to a muffler shop to have the 2 bolts that hold the downpipe to the cat taken off or loosened then put back on. My bolts were really rusty, and they got them loosed up for me so i didnt' have any probs taking off the downpipe. I was glad i did this, saved lots of headaches. Just take your time, and have one or two other people to help with the install, preferably someone who has done the install, that really helps. Me and two other friends did my install in about 8-9 hours total. It was a used kit too, and had only one run for parts. Go through the turbo section archives here and read as much as you can, that helps a lot too. Good luck. You will love it

Say what mods will I need to do to my engine for safe boosting....I ahve read numerous accounts of blown head gaskets etc. I only wish to push 4(AT MOST) lbs of boost before I mod my engine...

Do a compression test. See what your cylinders are like. Even with decent compression, i'd say 4 psi of boost will be fine. Be sure to get an EGT gauge, and an A/F gauge, both will help you be aware of the engine's conditions while boosting. If you are around the 60k maint schedule, the timing belt and its components should be replaced also to be safe. You will need new spark plugs, and a change of oil and filter for the install also. Unless you have ultra high miles and have low compression, i wouldn't worry to much about 4 psi. But remember, ANYTHING is always possible, but less likely.
