Got my haltech today. All i can say is WOW!!!! 900 feet of wiring is a scary thing...but then again...complete controll over ignition and fuel maps is well worth the job. The wiring should be straight forward, but the tuning is gonna be a bitch. That and the little things like wiring in the crank angle sensor and the ISC should not be much fun, but i got a lot of friends around here that are good with wiring, and the manual that comes with the haltech is very in depth. All in all, it will be alot of work, but should be worth it in the long run. We'll finally get to see how much boost our stock bottom ends can handle before things start to fail. My guess is about 13 lbs. for about 8 months before the blow by is disgusting. Can't wait to find out though. Now, to just figure out what injectors i want to run. I am thinking a set of 450's from a stock GST for now, but then again, i should probably go all out now and tune it once and get a set of 660's brand new. Still need to figure it out i guess. Anyway, if anyone is interested in helping or giving there input, i sure wouldn't mind. I know HRC has a lot of expierience with the Accel EFI, but that doesn't controll the ignition as well. Maybe you guys could give me some knowledge as to a base injector pulsewidth that i could use to get me up and running.
also, if anyone has a datalogger, that could somehow datalog our ignition curves for me, i would definitely give you mad props on this project.
