I heard going too lean would cause detonation, but what about going too rich?

i prefer to error towards the rich side for safety reasons tho. im not looking to tweak every single hp out of my car tho, prefer to give up some ponies to have my stock internals last longer.

I am running super rich right now, and when i throw in my new Brk7e-11's gapped at .035, around 200 miles later they are all loaded up and my car is mis firing, and i am running really rich....... Just to let you know too ruch is just a pain in the ass.

Yeah, not to mention your pistons get to looking all nasty and shit after awhile. Rich is WAY better than lean, but try to be as stoichiometrically correct as soon as possible.

buy a testpipe and flow through muffler. No restriction will help allow the head to flow better and lean you out.
