Honestly, im a complete begginner to turbos and everything that goes with them. Ive got a 96 rs. Looks bad as hell but its slow as balls. This must change. Theres a guy near me selling a custom manifold with a t-25 turbo. Should I buy? or am i going the wrong direction completly? Someone tell me what i should be doing.

if you are a complete begginer, then i would have to agree ^^^... there is ALOT more to a turbo kit than just a custom made manifold... are you even sure that the mani is made for our engine? must of the guys on the board would agree that if you are a begginer than it would be a wise decision to just buy a kit... good luck to ya

Ok. maybe " begginner was an overstatement. i have learned alot about them already and im not a complete idiot about them. The reason I made that post was because the price of this manifold and turbo seemed fairly good. $450 for both. . The turbo is absolutly mint with zero shaft play or wobble and the manifold is already tapped for a EGT probe. SO im just wondering if i should seize the opportunity and buy it? I dont have the money for a full kit at the moment. The reason i chose to reply to your reply is becuz of ur car. My ride is a 96 rs. Its the same color as yours but it has a streetfighter front, combat sides and rear, APR wing, Arospeed Carbon Fiber hood, Giovanna kobe wheels, apc projector headlights, apc carbon fiber euros, and probably more im not thinking of.

Do what i did. In this section, just click on as many archieved pages as you can read. Just about anything you will need to know/learn is on here. I cant even tell you how much i learned about turbosystems just by spending many many hours of reading and searching..Its totally worth it..Again, i'd agree to go with a ready made kit, if your unclear of how turbosystems work..

u don't have the $$ for a kit... well even a custom job will cost you almost 2K. are you thinking of buying in parts over time?? uhhh, hummm. if you want to get the many make sure it fits the 420a block and is not for the 4g63, and like Chris said a t-25 is a waste, get something bigger.
Late.
