Ok I'm scared to death about going turbo but I'm doing it anyway. My HRC stage 1 is in the mail and they say their kit is totally safe and well tested. Then I come onto this board and all I read about is people blowing engines and having to rebuild for another $2000. So since you say there is a 100% chance my engine will blow sometime after turbo about how long will I be able to run at that 5 psi before the big kaboom?

There is a 100% chance that your engine will blow anyways......it just depends on how hard you run it and maintinence. If you keep your car well mainteneced it should last you a while, unless you run that thing into the ground. As far as how long you can run 5psi, im not to sure. I too am looking into the HRC stage 1 emoji. Where did you order yours from and how much $$?

I'm getting my kit through a local dealer who was able to knock the price down a couple hundred bucks. So I'm getting it for $2100.

You don't have a 100% chance of blowing your engine, especially at 6 psi. Just install everything right and make sure your fuel pressures are always right. Then you should be fine. There are plenty of us that have thousands of turbo'ed miles with no damage. I've got 2 years and 17,000 miles...still have compression as good as the day I installed the turbo (205-210 psi). You just have to be careful and start with an engine in good running order.
