#24759, "Did somebody rip one? Oh wait that's my exhaust..."

Uh a couple days ago my Thermal R&D 3" cat-back went on the 'ol RS and I'm very pleased with it. The only problem is once I wind out the engine to 4k I get this buzzy rasping fart sound that sounds awful. Will this go away once the turbo goes on in a week or two because I'll be flushing more power through those pipes? Or do I just have to live with this and hope to God no one is listening when I floor it?

get a cherrybomb glaspack resonator, it will solve all your raspyness honduhish sounds..

your exhaust note will change, however, after slappin a turbo on...

Yes try the glasspack, that will do nicely. I didnt notice any tonal change in my exaust note, but after the turbo, it just made it quieter somewhat. I'd say around 1/4 quieter, wich was good, cause that magnaflow muffler was getting annoying on the highway emoji

Umm, i bet its not your exhaust, its your wastegate that opens up at 4k rpm, u got turbo man, you should know about this, you dont have the wastegate dump tube molded into your downpipe, its just open, a lot of people have it like that, and thats why its giving you this raspy sound, its coming from by ur engine, not your exhaust

Don't listin to any of these guys. (no offense)

Don't put a glasspack in it, you'd be wasting your money.

It's not your wastegate because i get the impression your turbo isn't on yet.

Put it on. That will stop. The turbo housing works much better than any glasspack ever will. You'll see.
