#24549, "Stage 2F NER kit preps"

Ok, I(as well as a lot of you other guys), have gotten swept up in the NER kits. I decided to go the layaway route. I am doing it up with the 2F kit. I did searches and such on what i should do in preps. Like what gauges i need EGT,Fuel and oil press,A/F,boost(i think thats it). i plan on doing compression tests to see where i stand, rechange plugs and wires. Get new lines all throughout(vacuum,fuel..etc). But I don't plan on doing a rebuild anytime time soon, will i still be ok with 2F? or should i go down a stage? This is my daily driver and i don't want to jeopardize reliabilty(even though with turbo i understand the risk of fucking things up is higher) I just want to be safe and all. What else should i do? What I am I missing? I just want to get the last opinion from all you guys to make sure i did my research thouroghly, i am sure others will be asking similar questions, so hope this post isn't too redundant.

well since the NER kit is so new , no one really nows how its going to perform, but speaking about HRC kit, as long as you dont try to up the boost, watch your oil level, dont try to run it into the ground you should be fine with the stage 2, many on the board here have been running HRC stage 2 for a while now with no problems, its only when someone either makes a big mistake/error, trying to up boost to be cool and win a race etc.. that people start blowing motors, just be careful with it and it will last a long time boosted.

I still don't see why people ask about the reliability issue of a turbo kit.

Bottom line: turbos are not safe....... if you want to play, just be ready to pay.
