I know it's never too much to change your oil as much as you can, so how often do you guys change it??? I've been using full synthetic 10W-30 ever since I got the car (16000 miles), the car has 57000 miles now.

change mine at 3000 with castrol 10w-40 GTX oil. When I do my engine rebuild nothing but synthetic is going in this beast though O_o That spun bearing stuff is starting to scare me it hasn't got me yet and I've put a lotta wierd shit in my car, haha last year I put 20W-50 when I was stage one cuz the engine bay heat up a lot. Then I put 5w-50 full synthetic in the winter cuz I went to a race track. I hate those damn synthetic oil bottles, why can't they just put them in regular ones emoji is 5w-50 good to run? It's mega super viscosity adaptability emoji

You have to Change oil? emoji

I do it like every 4000 miles or so. I have to add like 3 - 4 qts during that time anyways.

I use SAE 30 oil to help prevent the spun bearing crap that I have had a FEW times.

Shit I change mine every 100 miles in my race car, but it sees only track use and getting to and from the track and it gets abused like crazy. I guess that is the price you have to pay to have a fast car.

I really can't afford to do it so often, but I always change my oil right around 2500 miles. It seems my engine begins to get a lot darker at this point.

hey you guys, i was wondering, you know those magnetic oil drain plugs or those magnets that you slap onto the side of your oil filter, i know ive seen taht suff somewhere, any idea where i could find somethin like that? im sure somebody on here is rockin one. have you seen the results? man imagine the gratification of getting out all those extra little shavings of metal, to keep from slowly eroding your engine away.

Hhhhhmmmmm.......I've seen those things that you wrap around your oil filter. It supposed to act like a heat sink or something.

I change my oil between 1k-2k miles with Mobil 1 10w-30. I also add a bottle of Bilstein engine treatment with every change. My plugs also get changed around the same time.
