I'm about to install it and I'm a little confused about how your suppose to adjust the fuel pressure.

In the instructions it says to use the static screw to adjust the pressure without vacuum at idle, well how do you do that? I was under the impression that you have vacuum at idle.

Then another area says to adjust the fuel pressure with the vacuum screw.

So, which is it?

Oh, one more thing: did you guys use the restrictor in the vacuum line?

If you could shed some light on this, I'd appreciate it.

To set the static pressure just don't hook a vac line to the SFMU. Then set the static pressure. I did use the restrictor then put the vac line on and the idle pressure will pretty much drop to where it wants relative to your static pressure. The vacuum screw doesn't do much of anything.

Another question. Do I need to get any adapters (if so what kind) to connect the fuel lines to it? I assume I do, because if I don't there wouldn't be a way to connect a fuel pressure gauge to it, right?

The SFMU takes 6AN on both ports. I have the SS line from the rail running into a "gauge adapter" which hooks to the Regulator. I also have a T fitting so I can run a mechanical and electric gauge. If no one else posts pics then I'll post some in about 4 hours when I get home.

Do you a have a electric fuel pressure gauge, as well at the mechanical?

Yeah I bought the mechanical to make it easier to tune under the hood. It was only $30. The send for the electric is on the T.

I thought I saw a sender for one. I was thinking about getting one, but I was wondering if they're as accurate as a mechanical gauge?

No they are not as accurate IMO (electrics never are) and it's slow reacting. I'm actually getting rid of it because it's no good for reading rising rates because it doesn't react fast enough.

Well the battery is in the trunk. So that's my power distributor if I want to hook something up. Right now all that is hooked up is the CD changer but it's there if I need it.
