All blow off valves blow off when you shift or let off the gas at high RPM. The hardnes and softness is for adjusting how easily the valve opens up.

I adjusted it so that it goes off at higher RPM when you let off, but what RPM range is it supposed to go off at when you let off or does it make that much diff.? As long as you get a nice sound when you shift and let off at above ~4K rpm?

RPMs dont matter. The thing that determins wether it goes off or not is how much boost you have built up.

Adjusting it doesnt really matter. As long as you dont here it when its under pressure and as long as it blows off its OK. The adjustment is made for when you really run high boost and you need to tighten it up or else it will leak pressure.
