So, has anyone figured out what the best fuel map is for DFI? I'm still learning the Calmap software. After I get the water temp sensor installed, I'm going to begin experimenting a little.

The Accel tuning instruction says to configure the ecu in close loop, but the pre-grammed setup from hrc is open loop. Am I missing something here? I wonder if I needed the Accel O2 sensor to program the ecu in close loop opereation?

Yes, you have to have the *second* o2 sensor to run in closed loop. It's not 100% necessary, but your gas mileage will be a LOT better with it and it will smooth out a lot of the transitions in the fuel map between rich and lean. You can watch the o2 correction % in the view screen, and adjust the fuel map to get the lowest correction % so your map is doing all the work.

I think I'm going to get Accel's O2 sensor soon so that I could run the ecu in close loop. Oh, Greg, thanks for the pic of the thermostat install pic.
