#23903, "8.5:1 compression check.....what numbers should I see?"

I have 1600 miles since the rebuild, I have been running 8-10 psi for about a week now. I want to run the 1/4 mile a couple of times this Friday. Do you guys think I will be ok??

I am going to do a compression check just to be sure, what numbers from ea. cylinder should I be around with 8.5:1 compression pistons??

Thanks

maybe around 165 give or take 10. I'm not positive but it should be lower than the lowest 2gnt numbers I've seen which are 175 with built block

I have 8.5:1 in my 420a
I did a compression test right after a 2hour run just after the engine was put back to gather.
I got 180 all across.

are you guys checkign yrou compression with the engine warm......cause it doesn't sound like it. I had abotu 175-180 on my 8.8:1 pistons while in good shape. Mark, ifyour car is tuned, you will be fine. if it isn't tuned, you will blow up your car, plain and simple emoji

hehe 150 135 135 150 stock internals. Ever since I"ve had my car it's always been 170 and lower O_o go figure. I always think it's a special low compression 420A haha. Now that my compression is so low I get mega turbo lag, the car isn't fast without the turbo anymore. Is that how it will feel when I get low comp pistons as well?

Hmm well I believe 9.0:1 is about 150 psi. and yes I did do it with the engine warm.

Armond are you going Friday to the track?
How will I know if i am tuned or not ???
I am running like 7-10 psi ( the needle moves around a lot and sometimes sticks at 7 or 8 and sometimes will stick at 9 or 10.
My a/f seems to be ok. My fuel pressure idles at about 55-60psi and goes on up past 100 at full boost. I don't really have much to tune all i have on there now is the SFMU.
The injectors are still stock and the SAFC has not been installed yet, so what else should I check for??
