#23588, "Go turbo or buy 1st. generation turbo eclipse"

I got a eclipse rs 99' and have the $ to buy the turbo kit. But a friend of mine just offered to sell me his 1 gen.turbo eclipse for $1,500. the car is in fairly good condition just minor bugs. It needs a new clutch and a good polish thats just about it. My question is if it worth to buy the old car to play with and leave mine just for pimppin. Or is it really worth to make mine turbo instead. Mine is allready hooked up with nos so it really isnt a slowpoke. Help me out.

It's 91' turbo. It has bigger fuel pump and injectors. That about it. The turbo is in good cond. as well as the engine.

I think first gens are for the most part ugly, and I would rather have a turbo 2gnt.

If that 1g is an AWD then you can make one fast car out of it. There are a few guys in this area running 12s and 13s consistantly. And being as we are a "mile high" knock a second off that time at sea level. Im not saying to buy it but just something to think about. But yeah 1gs are ugly..... cheese wedge on wheels. Or a fiero on steroids emoji

It all depends on what your planning on doing with your ride. If you want it to have some speed but look badass with kits and shit, then go 2nd gen. If you want all speed and arent really worried about it looking as good as it is fast then go 1st gen gsx. I personally dont like how 1st gen's look but if I was going to make a trailor queen import it would either be civic hatch or 1st gen gsx. 95-99's just look better in my opinion.
