#23540, "Ok, I've decided... almost"

I've decide to screw going all motor, i want boost. Now i just gotta hit my brother up and get him to let me borrow the money for a few months. I'm going to get a stage 1 turbo kit, hrc or star. Most likely star. Simply because it's cheaper. NOT TO IGNITE THE WHOLE STAR VS. HRC DEBATE. I won't touch that with a ten foot pole. Stage one because my compression is good, but i've got high miles. I wont be pushing more than 7 psi on my engine until i can afford to get the howell bottom end kit( 10.5:1 of course emoji. Figured that since i'm keeping the boost low, i might as well save myself the extra cost of the intercooler and put that towards other mods like a fluidine radiator. Also thinking about air/water intercooler (WAAAAYYY in the future after engine is built), or water/alcohol injection. I'm looking forward to start bugging you guys with actual questions, instead of just random ideas. Anyone in the pacific NW i can hit up for help with the install?? Also, wyatt if your reading this, I saw the chico address on your site. Any chance when i get around to purchasing that kit i could drop by and pick it up instead of paying to have it shipped? My parents live in the bay area and figure i could just pick it up on the way home. Thanks guys for all the inspiration. Any other ideas/suggestions i should be made aware of before embarking on my path towards nirvana... er i mean boost?

I hope you wont be pushing more than 7psi non-intercooled. Actually, I wouldnt recommend more than 3-5 psi non-intercooled, especially with summer setting in.

An intercooler is much more important to your car than upgrading a radiator. Get the stage 1 then throw on a starion FMIC for about $350 total price for labor and parts. Having a FMIC will make your engine last a lot longer.
