alright, the vc2 was set to 4.7 and i switched map sensors w/ a friend and it still doesn't work. here's whats going on besides the fact that over 4psi i'm hitting fuel cut at 4k rpms:
w/ the 3 wires coming out of the top part of the map sensor: one is the ground, which i tapped into w/ the vc2 ground wire. one of the other 2 wires was 5v, the other was 4.9v. i assumed the 5v one was the power wire for the map sensor and the 4.9 one was the sender wire. i cut the sender wire and connected the ecu side to the blue/red wire, and the connected the map side to the blue wire (of the vc2). the red vc2 went staight to the battery.
i know the vc2 is working correctly, i know the map is working. when this didn't work i switched the blue and blue/red connections, and the CEL came on and it would barely idle and wouldn't rev over 4k no matter what boost. i switched them back and it ran fine, but still hit fuel cut over 4psi at 4k rpms. we then adjusted the screw on the vc2, first way up and then way down (starting from the origional 4.7 clamp setting).

You hooked it to the yellow wire right? The one closest to the passenger side? Try using a metal chassis ground and hooking the VC-2 to ignition switch. That's how I have mine and it works fine.

if your hitting fuel cut after you hit boost it may not be the VC2. it is designed only for when you first hit boost 0-1psi. i could be wrong. make sure your power source is a "true" ignition source, noticed how when you turn your key to the on position your radio turns on but when you crank the car it loses power during cranking. you have to find a power source that gives it power the whole time (this will fix most CEL from VC2).

i had the power connected to the batter ign, so it was definately getting power, the ground was connected to the battery ground, so it was definately grounded. at one point i switched the ground over to the MAP ground and tested that as well, still didn't work. i get 3psi fine w/o fuel cut w/o the vc2 on my car. but i can't go past that, and yes, i taped into the yellow map wire. my missing link should arrive some time this week, so i'm good. i'll tell people how it goes.

i don't know, i tested the voltage and clamp adjustment on the vc2 and it seemed to clamp as it is supposed to, so in theory it shouldof worked, but NO...my missing link is in the mail.
