Hey guys, I have a problem. I have had this problem since I put the kit on. When I reach full boost (7-8 PSI) my car stops pulling and my EGT's shoot up above 1600. So of course I let off. I am thinking it is fuel issues. My A/F reads very lean when I gun it. I have the FMU and a 4:1 recal kit. I have bigger injectors, but have not put them in. Do you think putting my bigger injectors in will fix this problem? Any suggestions? Thanks.

well if you are running lean then the bigger injectors will help as long as you have an afc to go with it. Or you could add an inline fuel pump. There are a few ppl here i think that have done both the intank and inline pumps. and got all the fuel pressuer they needed at full boost.

I have an AFC so that won't be a problem. So I might need to run both an intake and an inline fuel pump? That kinda sucks. I will probably see what happens when I put in the injectors and go from there.

If you are using a 4:1 regulator with stock injectors, then you are definately running lean. Buying an additional in-tank pump wont help either since the amount of pressure flowing to your injectors is still limited by the regulator. You have to either buy a 12:1 regulator or install those injectors and safc. Also, be very very carefull that you don't boost much until you get richened up. Melting pistons isn't much fun.

This problem was here before I put the recal kit in. I could only boost at about 7 to 8 psi. My car would pull, but the EGT's would shoot above 1600 well before I reached red line. From what everyone said, I should have been able to run that psi on stock injectors, but I couldn't. Is there something wrong with my FMU? Or is that too much boost for stock injectors?

There is no way you should be running that much psi in regards to your stock injectors without the proper boosted fuel pressure ratio.
You're gonna fry your engine with stock injectors and a 4:1 ratio. I have a smaller turbo and run about a 7:1 ratio with a bleed valve to fine tune. I don't know who told you to run stock injectors and a 4:1 ratio, but that is definitely not right.

No, no one told me to do it. When I bought the injectors Dino told me to get the 4:1 recal kit to go along with them. I took the FMU off a week ago to check all the connections and decided to throw the recal kit in. I am not boosting at all, 2 to 3 psi, and I watch my A/F guage and make sure it stays green when accelerating and let off when my EGT's get close to 1600. If I continue to do that should I be alright until I get the injectors in?
