I have the autometer 5244 probe.... my question is do you guys just drill a hole in the 4th runner and screw the probe in? Cause in the instructions it says to drill a hole and then have this fitting welded over the hole and then screw in the probe. To people with similar probes how did you do it?

You can either drill and tap the manifold or drill and weld in the included bung. You need a 1/8" NPT tap and the appropriate drill bit for the first method. Sears and some hardware stores sell these items. The Star manifold taps easily, but the HRC SS manifold can be tough. I broke two taps on someones HRC manifold. A muffler shop can drill and weld the bung if thats what you want done. Not everyone agrees with me, buy I always drill the manifold with it removed from the car. I just don't trust drilling it on the car.
