#23229, "Do you have to rebuild B 4 you add turbo? ALSO are there a lot of probs. with turbo?"
So im really wanting to go stage 2 turbo, im tired of losing to 2-3 hondas a week. I have 66k miles on my car probably around 70k when I get the turbo, but do I HAVE to rebuild before I go turbo? Also a friend was telling me that if I do add turbo there comes a lot of problems like the o2 sensor or stuff like that. Do you guys have a lots of problems? and what kind of problems are they?

No, you don't HAVE to rebuild. Just make sure your engine is in good shape and can handle the extra pressure. Doing a compression test and seeing how well your holding up is a good idea.
And yes, it will be something that requires alot of maintenence, care, and love. The occasional doggie snack wouldn't hurt too.
It's definately not something you can drop in and forget about.

Turbo's a great idea, Michael... it just requires lots of maintenence. Also with stage 2 your engine is a ticking bomb... it WILL blow, it's just a matter of when. Some guys here have lasted 2 years, while others last 2 weeks... or 2 days.
If you're going stage one, I don't think it's really necessary to rebuild. If you're going stage 2, either rebuild or have the money available to rebuild when "it" happens.
You should consider nitrous man... it's a LOT cheaper, safer (IMO), and easier to maintain.
