#23163, "Does a BC change the power curve of the turbo?"

I ask this cuz everytime I gun it in 1rst my wastegate opens at about 5k rpm and the fun ends. It's too short of a rush...I gun it at 3k and hear the turbo spool up and pull and then suddenly the WG opens, the turbo is still spooling(wheezing sound)and the power just levels off then drops. I'm thinking of getting a MBC so that that the power band will be more level and maybe bump the boost up to 7lbs. Any Help please? Thanks

no matter what boost you run, when the wastegate opens the power will level off. Are you tring to get the power to keep building longer into the rpm range? like till 6k?
it better to get the wastegate to open up earlier in the rpm range cause your making power faster, imo.

I'm trying to get a steady curve..a sort of linear all the way till redline. I hate the big pull, the leveling off ,then the drop off in power. I'd just like one big pull all the way till say 6k. Next on the list will be a UDP for the low and a straight pipe for the hi. ANy other suggestions? Also what spring is on the WG Star kit? THanks

boost controllers will allow you to adjust the curve, get the profec b and you can control it accuratley up to about 28psi, and you can change the onset of the boost from sharper or smoother.... one way you turn the knob, it will build slower, and the sharper you get the more it comes on all at once...
