#23020, "Random dying, and car stays in closed-loop ???"

yesterday, the car died 4 times from my house to work, randomly, twice while coming to a stop, and twice while cruising 50ish mph (jab the throttle to the floor and a second later engine would start back up)

also noticed the car staying in closed loop almost all the time. isnt it only supposed to go into closed-loop at like 80% throttle or more? at WOT, car feels as strong as ever, and other than that, runs fine.

today car ran fine, no problems at all...

ideas?

Another bad MAP sensor! I'll bet 95% on this one. Mine did the same thing with it dropping and catching itself when I would jab the accelerater. If that's what's bad, pick one up at Dodge... it's like $60.

Or a TPS, or a thermostat, or a coolant temp sensor....

TPS is a possibility... I don't see a thermostat or ECT sensor causing these symptoms though.

prolly in most cars, but my car never trips a CEL, even when i get codes when i check. BUT, i just checked for codes, and got nothing, just the usual 12 and 55.

only time ive ever got a freakin CEL is when i blew my 1st motor, lol
