#22909, "difference between 4g63 and 420a parts..."

My friend has a 99 NA Eclipse and another kid has a 98 Turbo Eclipse that he hates (crankwalked him to death). So he is letting my friend buy shit off it. He wants the turbo....of course. so is there any difference in the positioning, size, or differential between that turbo set up and an aftermarket 420a setup?? What, if anything, would be compatible?? TIA

parts from the 4g63 are just as compatible as the parts from a yugo fitting into our cars. its a totally different engine 4g63 is a mitsu engine 420a is a chrysler engine. totally diff.

he could get the turbo but if he wanted to go turbo with the t-25 it would be a custom turbo kit..like the manifold etc... im not so sure how it would position on our car, but the turbo is pretty small.. honstly i would save the headache and get a hahn or start kit, and BAME you just got to install...

There really isn't anything from the 4g63 that would fit a 420a. Basically the only things that are the same from a turbo car and a non-turbo car is the body and the suspension setup.

If your friend has an RS.. maybe he should buy the rear swap bar. emoji
