Ok First off I finally got my car back together last night with my cams, valves, vavlve springs, and turbo. Well I know you are supposed to take it easy the first 1500 miles but I wanted to try out my turbo. I have been waiting forever for. Anyways my car will only boost to 2 psi if that at WOT. Then around 5k to redline it will max out at f 5 psi. It is really sluggish when it goes from vacum to boost. What is the problem. I have checked all piping connections, plugs, wires, which are all new and gapped to .035. I can not figure out what the deal is. someone help me out. Please I am in dire need of assistance. I was so excited about the turbo and now I am all bumbed cause my car is just a little faster than before. I have the HRC stage 2 kit with FMIC. could the actuator vavle be out of adujment an be open. TIA

Also when I come to a stop the car stops dereving at 1500 then continues down to 1000-1200 for idle. What is the deal with that. Is my fp to high I have RC 370 cc injectors.

Your fuel pressure may be TOO LOW even, or it could be something totally different like your battery or alternator or TPS or ISC or throttle body...etc.
As you can see, high idles can be difficult to diagnose.

my boost gauge reads 21 vacum at idle. I am so confused. I am not. It sucks that I cant get any boost until like 4k and that is only 1-2 psi. Could the actuator valve be out of adjustment and be open. I dont know much about turbo systems yet. still learning. I really am depending on you guys here on the boards. I really appriciate your help. Thank You.

what kind of cams did you put in there stock? if not stock a friend put some bullfrog cams i forget the grid and they were not for a turbo application this could be your prob...

yeah I thought that that was maybe the problem cause I put crane cams in, But they were the turbo grind cams. I pulled the actuator off and the vavle was being held open. So I shortened the rod as far as it would go and still too long. SO I put some washers where the actuator mount to the turbo. And Wala. Perfect 8 lbs. It is absolutly the SHIT> I love my car. Well I will get some pics posted soon. Thank you all For the info and trying to get this pig running right. Well now I am going to go back to taking it easy. NO BOOST. Its going to be a long 1500 miles.
