Yeah, get the A\F and EGT. Both Stage 1 (HRC or STAR) comes with a boost gauge.
As far as BOV goes, the HRC one comes with a 3000GT which is more than sufficient. The Star stage 1, doesn't come with a BOV though, but don't qoute me on that. Good Luck

If you're getting the HRC kit, a boost guage comes with it. I also picked up the jumptronix A/F and autometer EGT with the probe.
I've been running around with Stage I for about 4,000 miles or so with no problems. My only advice of something you should upgrade it (if you're getting the HRC) is a vortech S-FMU. The Cartech that comes with the kit sucks major ass. I have to keep adjusting my idle pressure pretty much everytime I start the car. :/
You may want to get a guage pod too if you dont already have one. I got the cool instument bezel one. Looks better than a pillar mounted one IMO.

i will third that comment about the cartech regulator. i met up with a friend who just got finished with his install YESTERDAY and the damn cartech was fluctuating 10-20 psi even with it being brand new. i love my s-fmu

thanks for the advise. im getting the star kit, so i wont have to worry about the fpr, but i know the star kit has no bov, should i invest in one, or not needed with that low amount of boost? also with the star kit and no boost controller the wastegate will be set at 5psi right, or is it lower?

Star stage 1 comes with HKS std bov. It does not come with a boost gage.
I would call to confirm the bov. There are some places that allow you to eliminate that and order something else.
The HKS standard bov is fine. You also need(to be safe and monitor your car)a boost gage and egt gage with probe. To back up your egt readings, a digital A/F gage is a good choice as well.
I have the gage dash bezel from autometer. I do suggest buying a 0-20 psi boost with vacum gage. This will allow you to see each psi more easily (20 is more than enough for most of us) and the vacum allows you to see if you have any leaks in the system. It allows you to monitor driving in vacum more easily and not getting into boost unless you want to.
