I have a few thoughts on getting a turbo....I only have one car so reliability is a HUGE issue for me. I dont want my car blowing up or anything. With the star stage one and stock internals I shouldnt have any problems right? I plan on getting all the gauges I need so I can monitor how the engine is running. And I will upgrade to an intercooler in the near future. I know a lot of you turbo guys have already gone through the headache of blowing an engine. I hope to learn from all of the mistakes that have been made. With a great installation and a little luck I hope to be boosting for many years (at least a few) with minimal problems. Aside from a few simple install mistakes, i have had absolutely no reliability issues since xmas when i installed my turbo. The key is to make sure you're getting enough fuel... which is a lot easier to do when you don't run high boost. I keep mine at about 5psi. It's my only car, too

What can you run in the 1/4 mile with 5psi?

I've had mine for about 11 days now I have no cash what so ever cause I spent it all for my Star II BB kit But you should have a good long life with these kits. I have done a grip of research cause this is my only ride, and reliability is a huge concern for me also. If you stay at 5psi with your stage one you should have no worries. If you get an intercooler you could go up to 7psi and still have that security. Mines at 5psi and I think I'm just as fast as a GS-T if not faster, and I could still go up to 7psi. But not untill I get more cash. Hope this helps.

I use to have a White 99 GS Sport with a Star Stage II Ball Bearing T3/T4 turbo...it was fun untill....well those who remember me know Oh Ya...this is what I have now... a 99' GSX...

All of you guys are absolutely right.. I just wanted to throw something in here. Do yourselves a favor and upgrade your injectors as soon as you can. This is the absolute best thing that you can do for your motor aside from building it up.
It really is all about fuel supply. At 5psi our cars with stock injectors 12:1 fmu and a fuel pump (intercooled) will run RICH..
which is a good thing.. But you cant assume that this will continue to happen as you up the boost. Once you crank up the boost past 10psi those stock injectors are way off on meeting fuel requirements.
