Depends on how long awhile is. Personally I think I'd have to say rebuild first since I'm one of the few who had a Star at 10psi daily, often careless and still has an engine to tell about it (not to mention a yrs worth of 70hp nitrous shots before it and higher compression). My engine was/is totally stock except forged pistons and rings which says alot about the stock pistons vs aftermarket. For my one set of forged pistons there must be a truck load of stock pistons who broke doing the same thing and much less frequently. Most of the stockers who last a long time are wusses when it comes to boost j/k. 5-7psi and an occasional walk on the wild side, 8psi.

I'm with you Murix... uh, my head hurts. But if I HAVE to vote, go for the rebuild first, that's what I did, it was worth the extra money for piece of mind.
