When I first install my Star stage 1 kit there was a crack seal in the turbo housing and oil gush down the down pipe to where my o2 sensor located on the downpipe was sitting. Got pissed and sent the turbo back for a new one. Then, when the new one came in my cousins and I finished the install turned on the engine and the check engine light came on but the car seems to be running fine but not the EGT gauge because it will read up to 1,600F then I would have to let off the pedal. My check engine light is still on and I'm gonna order a new o2 sensor for the downpipe hopefully that will solve the check engine light but will it also solve the EGT gauge reading? Do you guys think that's what's causing the EGT gauge to read so high? I thought it was the spark plugs but had them replace to Bosch platinums and the temperature will still go up and I'm not even mashing on the pedal like I'd be when I'm racing just driving normally. Help me guys.

not sure do stage 1s really get that hot? I used to have a stage 1 but no EGT gauge so I can't really say. if anything it shouldn't be that hot if your O2 sensor is bad because it'll just dump more fuel and be mega rich just to run safe. If your mileage really bad? Do you have FCD?

Do you hear your fuel pump LOUDLY? cause you should, if not, then it isnt working well and that could be your problem. also, check your injectors for clogs, and id replace the fuel filter just to make sure it isnt all clogged up. do you have a fuel pressure gauge? you really should get one to see what your fuel readings are doing when your EGT's get so high. during normal driving my EGT's never go above 1200-1250.

Make sure the three-way by pass connected to the map sensor is tightly secured on the intake manifold.
