#21787, "recalibration kit for FMU"

i got the kit in yesterday....it comes with no info on which disc is for which ratio....how do you tell which to use?

also i was planning on running between 15psi-18psi, will the 4:1 work with the HRC 500cc for this amount of boost? kit didn't come with the 3:1.....

Anthony,

best way to determine it is to measure the overall diameter of the calibration disk with a ruler, then post them up here. Note the diameter of the disk do not correspond to the ratio. you will need to call Vortech again to have them explain which ration correspond to what diameter.

Oh hey, prior to you movign up north, where did you take you car to for the rebuild?

thanx.

kaiser

here it is again.

12:1 largest flat washer and no ring(this is what comes from star)
10:1 second largest washer and ring that fits around it
8:1 third largest washer and ring.........
6:1 4th largest washer and ring ......
4:1 smallest washer and ring(the washer does not fit perfectly in the ring.....seems to be a bit smaller)

Vortech had instructions on their site on how the install goes. This IS important.

I would still use the 3:1 with the 500cc injectors. Dino is using it with his 440cc and he says it is a bit lean on the top end. I really think you will have too much fuel pressure at higher boost and your fuel flow will vary due to high pressures. You can lean it out with a S-AFC, but your pressure is still really high. IMHO

You can also sell each one of the disc/rings to make up the cost.

440cc 4:1
370cc 6:1
315cc 8:1
270cc 10:1

I have given most of mine away. I do have a 6:1 and 12:1 left over. Damn honda boys and their turbo kits emoji

man i forgot the name of the shop.......it's in lake forest though. like 5min away from dynamic autosports......dynamic actually refered me to them.....the name was *something* performance.....all they do is chrysler products (they have dodge viper certified techs there!)....really cool guys....did my clutch too. the intersection was "el taro road and jeronimo". coming off the I5, if you go N.(heading inland) on El Toro take a right on Jeronimo. Take the first right down a side street....they'll be all these shops in there. they are in the last driveway on the right (first shop on the right too). they actually do a lot of 4x4 stuff and Baja racing on the side. i took my car there everytime for anything. good customer service.....good prices. guy to talk to is this white younger guy, he had a tattoo on the top of one of his hands....it's been awhile but he might remember my car. black 97 eclipse....they did my internal and clutch.

man know i have to order the 3:1.....wtf am i going to do with all these extra discs?!?!?!
