Anyone else get a loud pop from the exhuast when they shift into second @ WOT ?

ive always got one, almost like a backfire, but sounds like that "turbo pop" you hear from the drag cars @ the strip...

what is it? why does it do that?

Check your spark plugs, make sure they are not fouled or bad. Also check your plug gaps, may be misfire.

I was having that recently and fixed it by leaning out 5000 and 6000 rpm settings on my afc by -1%.I had it at 0% and I could never redline constantly at WOT and plus that explosion and loss of power.Runs strong all the way through now.Could be misfire too.

I'm AT and turbo, but never heard that noise. I know I run way rich 5-6.5k RPM in 2nd under full boost.

its not accompanined by anything negative, plugs are fine, everything else is fine, runs all the way to redline, etc. it does it as it shifts second, feels good when it does it, lol, puts you back in the seat. i was just wond4ering what causes that "turbo pop" you hear from the turbo drag cars, especially the rotaries, this is what it sounds like...
