#21431, "Had Silver XTC dyno'ed at Carlisle - here are the results"

First off, these were runs done both in 3rd and 4th gear (there was no difference between the two).

It was set to 15psi running with c16 race gas (116 octane). All i have is a s16g with fmic, 1:1 regulator, 440cc/min injectors, SAFC with corbin's boost mod, and unhooked cat. Also i have fully rebuilt bottom end (good thing because i spiked to 28psi on the dyno by accident hehehe)

With that said, i developed major boost leak when boost kicks in and goes above 7psi. You will see in the graphs and numbers that my power starts climbing FAST until about 4000 RPM when it just goes *POOF*. That's boost leak. I have yet to find where the leak is, but i'm happy with the results. the graph indicates that i still have a lot of power to make use of before it flattens.

Also what's kind of funny, is that i have more torque than HP, maybe because of my 10.5:1 compression?

I am HIGHLY rich, as you can see by the wideband o2 sensor, after 3000 rpm i run my Air/Fuel mixture down to low 10's and 11's. So i have to play around with that.

With that said, i'm happy with the results. I know i can break 300's once i have the rest of the crap fixed and run some race gas. I also datalogged all the runs (4 of them). I'll post the obd-2 files online for everyone to look at. My spark advance was good except for a short period of time (around 6000 rpm) where it drops to 15. Maybe my ignition giving out (i still have stock ignition).

Enjoy

You guys missed out. His car was fun to watch on the dyno, especially when people started laughing cause it was a Sebring. They woulda pissed their pants more if car wasn't getting boost leaks. Best part was when they had to let off the gas once they noticed he got up 28psi. That was scary cause I taped it and saw a spark and smoke underneath the car. I dont have digital video camera though so I can put it on here. Look forward to seeing his #'s once he as fixed thouse problems.

you had more torque because your car sisn't have the chance to make the top end hp number is has the potential to, what with the boost leak coming in at only 4000 rpms

Find that boost leak, do some tuning, and your car will probably have 275-300 or so HP Vinnie. Good luck getting it to run better.
