dunno why it wouldn't go off, but if it bothers you that much, get some tape on put it over it, or yank the light bulb out emoji

wel in the fuel tank there is a sensor that has a sort of hollow ball hooked up to it and when the fuel tank is full that ball floats to the top and conected to the ball is an arm. kinda like a toilet. (looks anyways) when the ball floats to the top(full) the sensor reads it and it shows up on your dash. thats how your car can tell how much fuell is in there. but i still dont know how your light could be on if the little ball is still workin. or else the guage itself would read empty all the time. must be an electrical prob. anyone else?
