#20775, "engine vibrations????"

ok right now my engine is running funny when i'm boosting. when i step on the gas, at 1st gear to 4k is fine, till i hit 2nd gear my engine starts vibrating as my boost rises, then when cruising at the last gear, my a/f guage is real rich. then black smoke comes out. i'm sure it has to be something electrical. i have the vc2 set at 4.7v and i have the apexi AFC. also i'm eating lots of fuel, man someone help this fuel is costing me $$$! is it my tuning? look at my mods and tell me what it could be?

well i don't know how to fix it but i would check your fuel trims if you have the data logger if not then i would say hit the safc and lean it out at the right rpm points. now i want to say i do not have an safc nor do i know how to tune one!!! but i know it can lean you out and that is what you need....... guy's

Your AFC might be tunes a little rich.BUT,I had a big problem w/ this before.I had an AFC and 440's and no matter how I leaned it out I was blowing black smoke.Turned out that my FCD/VC1/2 went to shit.Might wanna check you map sensor voltage.Might be way outta spec cause of a bad "black box".

if your blowing black smoke its your air/fuel mixtures. your probably too rich since you said your eating fuel. hows the o2 volts on the afc?? could be bad o2 or maybe you just need to lean it down a lot. if you continue to run real rich you will destroy your o2 and possibly your plugs.

yeah i figured out it was running too rich at WOT. it's running a little better that i adjusted it a bit leaner, no more black smoke, but i still get slight vibrations when i go into boost, i can't figure out why it's doing that?
