#20766, "More power at low boost"

for some reason I feel a lot more power at about 3psi with the gas pedal down half way than I do at 6 psi with the pedal to the medal. Can anyone exlpain why? I'm thinking that I need wider exhuast piping. I'm still running off stock.

You are probably getting better timing at partial throttle with less boost than full throttle with 6psi. The car really is faster at full throttle, you just don't feel it as much on the butt-o-meter.

You could also be running way rich at WOT and 6 psi. If you're dumping too much fuel in, power will suffer. With the throttle halfway down at 3 psi, the ECU should still be controlling fuel supply. It is reading the O2 sensor and adjusting the fuel. That will leave you running a little hot but with pretty good power. When you go WOT, the ECU stops reading the O2 sensor and just guesses how much fuel you need (err'ing on the rich side). If your fuel pressure is a little high, you will be rich and might lose some power. Just a guess. And, I agree with Jeff, don't always trust the butt-o-meter.

Check your FCD clamping voltage.

Are you auto or manual? My auto does that if I'm in O/D, runs rich.

I'd have to agree with the rest of the guys; you're probably running too rich at WOT--at least that's what my probably was and is.

I fell the same way too...my car is slow at WOT but at 3/4 it's all good..I never full throttle cuz it don't feel as good especially anything below 4k. Like said before it probably is 1) too much fuel 2)hitting fuel cut and pulling timing like a mutha

sorry for the long reply fellas. Well I think it's my fuel. I was boosting at 5 psi today and found my A/F guage reading .97 psi and one time even 1.001. So what do I do, I turned the boost up to 8. Well I found the problem. THanks for answering fellas.
