well think of it this way if you have a small turbo and run say 8 psi on it and have the star monster turbo at 8 psi there will be a big difference in the air it forces in. So just a little boost goes a long way on the T3/T04. I wouldn't run more than 8 without an inline pump I guess but then you gotta think about your internals also....

the HRC turbo is smalller than the Star turbo thus 8 psi on the HRC kit is less than 8 psi in the star. I have star and have it at 8 psi. engine is doing fine... but I would not go over 8, then you are just asking for trouble. is not that you will have to get an extra inline pump (our walbro is more than sufficient), at 8 psi (star kit) you are already reaching the limits of your injectors.
if you are going to run 8 psi then I suggest you get a/f and egt gauge and keep an eye on those readings.
Hope that cleared it up for you.

i also have my star kit at 8psi. and it pulls hard. i turbo'ed it at around 90000 miles and i'm not even getting blow by out of the breather. that person was probally saying in there opinion the star turbo is too big and you will have to wait too long for the boost to kick in. but when it does kick in you get more hp per pound of boost than the hrc kit. plus my turbo is spooling at around 2800-3000 rpm so mine kicks in plenty fast for me
