I am going to buy a turbo timer. I have done my homework and know what features the latest products have. I would like some feedback from those that actually have a new model turbo timer.
1. Please list brand and model of timer
2. Please list what features work well and which features suck
3. Please list if the harness(standard 2G) was an easy plug-n-play or if it was a difficult install
4. Please list if there were any problems with an aftermarket alarm system and what you did to get around it. My goal is to still be able lock my doors and then arm the car automatically, when the car shuts off. I have an Ungo alarm with active or passive arming.
I am sure many people will benefit from this post. Please describe all facts in detail, so I/we will know what works better on our cars. If you have a factory alarm or no alarm, please state this in #4, so others will benefit.
Hopefully we can get the real scoop for HKS, Blitz, Apexi and Greddy.

Thanks, I have checked out the features with all timers. I was really wondering if there were any problems or something you liked or dislikes about your purchase.
I really like the HKS Type 1(usa version) for its G-tech features and other standard features. For under $100, I really like the FAAT. It has everything I need in a timer(including volts).
Any more advice out there?

nothing really to dislike. i dont use some of the options like the lap time or temperature stuff, but everything seems to work as advertised. got it for like $100 w/ the harness, does its job, i like it.

i have the apexi auto tt with o2 volt a/f and volt meter it was plug-n-play with 2g turbo harness install was easy except i spliced the wrong wire at the ecu all the features work well just as they are supposed to the alarm thing is killing me though with my alarm you can't arm it until a door has been opend after shut off and it doesent have passive arming as a usable option so now i have to pay the yahoo's at automotive designs at least $50 to program in a solution and i don't even know what the right answer will be. plus when i was putting my rims on this weekend i jacked the car up and down 4 times and the alarm didn't go off once so i'm pissed about it's sensitity (sp) what kind of moron would program an alarm weak enough to allow your rims to get jacked... so i've got a lot of yelling ahead of me... sorry about the rant i'm just venting
