i though that star turbo kits are fout are cars and were mad for us only but why is all this need to be done as somone posted earler

"had to help me weld. I can't believe how much stuff is outta wack the way it comes. We relocated the oxy snsor, routed the dump tube into the downpipe, bent the down pipe to clear the oil pan,"

Oxygen sensor relocation must be his problem...we just got through with a star install a few days ago and didnt have any problems with the 02, or with the downpipe clearing the oilpan. and welding in the dumptube, i dont know of any kit that comes like that, but its a good thing to do, keeps hot exhaust gases out of your engine bay.

Because turbo kits are not bolt-on and go upgrades.

Some people might have zero troubles after install, some do.

well mine touched the oil pan and I had a muffler shop fix it for me. Not all star kits are made the same hehe. If you have a star stage one w/BOV you'll have to cut the flange and piping with the BOV on it and rotate it downwards and weld it or use couplers. There's absolutly nothing wrong with the star kit. Wish it came with a little more goodies like a flex section and a dumptube routed to the downpipe.
