Well I went ahead and started to put my fuel system in after getting the wrong fuel kit. I got the pump all hooked up and then came the wires. Snuged the wire down snap. The stud broke. What in the f@%* am I going to do. Will HRC replace my pump or will I have to buy one. I now understand why a intank pump is much easier to install. I am so frusted. Also when I disconected the 14mm nut from the distribution block the fuel wouldnt stop coming out it just kept going and going. SO I had to work with fuel dripping everywhere. I cant unhook the pump cause the thing will just leak and leak and leak. What am I going to do.

Those studs are brass and rather weak..easy to break them. If HRC will replace it, great. If not, don't toss the pump. You might be able to drill and tap the brass base where the stud was. You would then put in a small brass screw to hold the ring connector. Its probably a #6 or #8 screw. Hopefully there is enough metal there to hold a few threads of the screw. Or you could try to solder to the brass pad. You would have to avoid melting the surrounding plastic. I bet there is some way to salvage that pump.

Brass just snapped? Sounds like it was cracked before you got it. I would think this falls firmly in either "manufacturing defect" or "damaged in shipping".
