a/f= used to determine if your running rich (too much gas) or lean (not enough)
EGT= exhaust gas temperature used to measure temp of exhaust gas, also useful in determining if your rich or lean, many say much better way to tune car, by watching temp changes in exhaust gas temp.
Boost= tells what level of boost your running (with turbo) measures vacuum in manifold to determine change in atmospheric pressure.
!!guages are only for readings not adjustments!!
turning up/down the boost level is done by a boost controller. could be manual or electronic. When the boost pressure reaches what you have the controller set for it dumps out the excess pressure, you can get dual stage ones that keep you at one boost level then allow you o hit another level. good if you want to start out at 3 lbs to reduce wheel hop then hit 10 lbs when you get moving. it can be in your car or inside engine compartment
