#20248, "Tapping EGT probe!!!!!"

Alright guys, I have a Westach clamp style EGT probe. The thing 'barely' fits in the HRC manifold runner. So I'm probably gonna have to tap this thing down in the downpipe. It was recommended that you install it as near as in the cylinder head exhaust port to no farther than past the oxygen sensor. More importantly, does anyone have a pic where they install in their DP. I'm scared of cracking the manifold, so putting it in the DP would be logical IMO. Thanks!!!!

one of the avenger guys (haha sorry I forget what his SN was) has one in his HRC manifold. He drilled it from the side. I drilled mine on the top.

Hehe just wondering but where ru gonna connect the power wires you need for you EGT gauge? I'm having problems with my EGT and AF ratio gauge right now and I'm thinking it doesn't like both on the same wire.

Mine is an autometer probe though

here's that post has the pix and all:
