Hello,
Went to the track today and made some runs.. out of the 3 1/4 mile passes I made, the best time was 14.532 @ 97.53.. The other two times were 14.665 @ 96.77, and 14,761 @ 96.46.. I was running 8 PSI on pump gas.. Only mods besides stage II kit are custom CAI, Thermal R&D exhaust, and S-AFC..
The first two races were against another local DSM'er who ran mid 12's and the last race was against a GSX with some mods.. I beat the GSX by .54 sec... In the 1/8 mile pass I lost to a WRX with "just bolt on mods" whatever that means.. The track is fun either way.. Hopefully a rebuild is due in <2 weeks or so

Gary

Since your trap speed is 97 mph, your e/t can be even lower! That car has a high 13 second potential, with a good 60' and traction (this is coming from someone who does a crappy 2.4 60 ft, hee, hee)!

Hello,
How is this possible? Just basically getting a good launch? My shifts felt great and everything felt good except for the launch.. The highest time should've been lower, but I paused for just a split second because i thought I redlined =) The reaction time was .549 on that one..

Well, the reaction time does not affect your 1/4 time; it only matters if it's a heads-up race or in bracket racing when E/T's are close. If you bogg off the line, or if you experience wheel-hop or tire spin, it will affect your quarter mile time. It seems very minimal, but it's true. At a trap speed of 97 mph, you're good for a 13.5-13.8 e/t. It's easier said then done of course. Reducing the front tire pressure to 20-22 psi will help with traction; adjustable shocks and (supposedly) an upper strut tie bar, and polyurethane motor mount inserts will also help reduce wheel hop. Only trial and error, and practice will help reduce your times because every car is different.

I ran about the same time. I got a 14.3 @96.5mph. I had a 2.308 60ft.
